As of August, 2007, I will not be updating this section. The news updates will be via http://nimheil.blogspot.com/ 20070730 New Website Design and MerchMassive redesign of the website, without too much removed material. Didn't feel like rewriting too much stuff. Looks nicer now and a bit easier to maintain again. Also merchandise is available via the Nimheil Online Shop. Which has a wider range of materials than the Uncomfortable Records one. In the visual downloads section there is a set of images showing what some of it looks like whilst being worn. 20060816 Merchandise now availableA bunch of Uncomfortable Records merchanise is now available from their store. Including a nice black Nimheil teeshirt. By buying some stuff from there, you help UR get more releases out and help Nimheil in turn get more releases out. Making music is a touch expensive. 20060721 Galactica Publishing Interview of NimehilEarlier this year Galactica Publishing interviewed Nimheil, with the intent of publishing the interview in their upcoming Journal edition. However, their publication date has been pushed back so permission was granted to publish the interview with Nimheil here. Enjoy. 20060712 Infocalypse II albumThe second installment in the Infocalypse series has been written and released.

Download it, share it, give it away to friends. 20060418 Ampere Video created and releasedI created a video clip to go with the song Ampere.
Ampere video (34meg)
Download it, share it, give it away to friends. 20060219 Contemplaton releasedThe physical release of the album Contemplation was today. A relatively unlimited edition of CDRs. With clear acetate inserts. Additionally a CDR edition of Infocalypse was released. This is limited to strictly 15 copies. Includes hand panted artwork. Some photos of the artwork can be seen at www.uncomfortablerecords.com. 20050924 Infocalypse releasedSecond full length album from Nimheil is released online. Titled Infocalypse it is a single 40 minute track exploring the pending information overload. More information on the Infocalypse [UR006.NET.2005] release page at Uncomfortable Records. 20050509 New Song DoneA new track for the Contemplation album has been done. It is called Sublimation. Download and enjoy. 20050328 Remix for Nae'Blis CompleteNimheil was privileged with the opportunity to remix a song by Nae'Blis, a Swedish Folk-Metal band. The song choosen was 'and I shall exist no more. The remix is titled 'and I shall exist no more (Helvetesbarn Mix)' and has been received well by Nae'Blis. It can be downloaded (under a limited license) on the download page. 20050322 Track and compilation releaseI release a new track, minimalistic dark-ambient: And the Industrial Terror compilation has finally been release via Roil Noise (a label). It includes two tracks by Nimheil (Burn Baby Burn and Razor Sharp Solution). 20050214 Mother's Milk Mixi am driver mechanic Payne... I want to tell you of a tale.... guarding a milk store.. kept kissing my feet and clothing.... its face was black, it had been dead for two days... its dead lips.. gave her the baby back... i had to stack her with the other dead bodies... I decided to remix the song 'Terror of Nations' from my Entropic // Ramblings album into something more ambient and a bit more mellow. I am unsure if I suceeded, but it is certainly an interesting r esult: Terror of Nations (Mother's Milk Mix) .. 20050121 Entropic Ramblings tape.Although the Entropic // Ramblings album got delayed due to the foibles of hardware, it is back. I am releasing the album as an ultra-limited release in tape format. There are only going to be 23 copies made (around 14 at pre-ordered at this point in time) and will include a bonus tape-only track (i.e: will never appear online unless someone rips it) called F.C.P (Sunday Picnic). The tape insert will include some hand done artistic finishes. Additionally I have done a film clip for Isolation. Fairly abstract but to each their own. 20041219 Nimheil halted.Whilst not as dramatic as it sounds, the production of any music related to Nimheil is currently halted due to apparently catostrophic hardware failure. A bunch of harddrives need replacing, but in doing so will result in the loss of all 'Entropic // Ramblings' and earlier source files. Some are found in backups but the newer tracks were unfortunately due for a backup (schedule for tomorrow). Emails of goodwill and so forth would be most welcome. A pint of guinness wouldn't go astray either. And anyone with the ability to recover data from a 3.5" laptop harddrive will earn undying gratitude. Goes to show, even the best backup policies have holes in them. Nimheil will start again once replacement hardware has been sourced and the heart-break is gone. As a parting note for now, there is now a filmclip for the song 'Staring Onto Infinite Madness'. This was rendered only hours before the hardware failure.
20041115 John Balance 1962 - 2004Tragically today I discovered that John Balance of Coil died due to a tragic accident.
RIP John Balance

20041001 Radio TimeTime for a stroke-the-ego type report of places that Nimheil has been played on radio:
Not too bad at all. Of course, to each of the DJs that have done this I will be sending out a EP and Teeshirt once they are ready. And I hope I haven't forgotten any air time. 20040820 Teeshirts and EPVery soon, Nimheil shall be releasing a limited run teeshirt (hand printed, white on black) coupled with a equally limited release EP. A number of copies will be sent out to folk that have supported Nimheil so far. Anyone else that is very curious or wishes to support Nimheil mail us and we'll see what can be arranged.
20040623 Boris BrznjefI am hosting a sample of Boris Brznjef's work 20040610 Pop and Crackle ShowGo listen to Richmond Indie Radio if you get the chance. Especially the 'Pop and Crackle' show. This show has a awesome mix of industrial, experimental and weird music. And it looks like they will be playing one of my songs soon! The schedule will tell you when the show is on (I assume in the timezone that Richmond is in). 20040601 Participation in CompilationNimheil has been invited to participate in a CD compilation that is being organized by Random Insults. The compilation is being cautiously titled 'Moments of Insane Sanity'. And will be distributed by Statue Records. Nimheil has been asked to contribute two or three songs for the compilation. 20040519 Radio Air TimeThe track Oil Spilling From Heaven was played at the end of the show on a radio program called Shadowplay (93.7FM / Three D radio, in the Adelaide area). With the announcement that more songs will be played over the next few months. The program runs from 6:30pm til 7:30pm, and I recommend anyone in the region go listen :) 20040418 Two new tracksLooks like there are two new tracks available for the Entropic Ramblings album: 20040413 Got invited..I got invited to participate in Underground Universe, which appears to be a SoundClick type facility. A bit too Flash heavy for my personal liking but the guys running it seem really nice and it all works real nice like. Check them out and so forth. 20040411 Updated songs and masteringThis friday just gone I had the chance to work with Kurrel on getting three of my tracks mastered and CD ready. Factory Scream, Falling Powerlines and Lament (see tracks) are much improved upon after Kurrel's work. We then sat down together and wrote a noise-drone / tribal-industrial piece in a couple of hours and it worked out quite well. It is Misconjecture (Ogg format). 20040317 Updated "Factory Scream"The track Factory Scream has been reviewed and updated. You can download the new version from the tracks page. Thanks. 20040312 AirtimeNimheil got play time back in December on a radio show called Gods Will which is on a station in Amsterdam. For proof go see the link to their 2003 playlist. Its great folk like this that make it all worth while. 20040209 CollborationNimheil and Boris_Brnzjef (NL) will be collborating on a currently-unnamed project together. Best described as lyrical noise. Boris is also part of the Fate Aeffect remix project. 20040201 Remixing for Fate AeffectNimheil is participating in the remixing of Triplet, the soon to be released single by Fate Aeffect. This is being co-ordinated by Tempest Recordings. 20040124 New TrackThe track Falling Powerlines was uploaded to the tracks page. 20040109 Name ChangePreviously just working under the name "Pàdraig", Pàdraig MacIain has finally named the musical project as Nimheil. This means less ego and more potential for other contributions. 20031229 New TrackNew track now available from the tracks section. The track Darkness from Below is a metallic / industrial track that is moody and sombre. |
